This contest invites healthcare professionals and healthcare students to capture photographic art that focuses on the small, often overlooked beauty of objects that we see daily. From the texture of a blade of grass to the way light dances on a glass surface, participants are encouraged to explore their environment closely. This challenge is not only about showcasing artistic skill, but also about encouraging us to appreciate life’s hidden details and magic in mundane moments.

The winner will receive a $100 cash prize. Submissions may include: paintings, drawings, photography mixed media. and wearable art. We prefer that the artwork somehow pertains to a healthcare, OR was created by a healthcare student, trainee or professional. The 1st and 2nd runners up will have their artwork published on www.medmic.com for 6 months and receive commentary from the contest judges. Please send us impressions of a recent travel experience. If possible include photographs to go along with a written narrative. We want to know how the trip inspired you, and made you feel reinvigorated. Please include recommendations for restaurants, hotels and specific experiences you had along the way: what worked, and what didn't. Give us advice on what we "must see", what was non-essential, or how to travel on a limited budget. Keep it creative and fun!
